It’s been a bit of a strange week: dodgy weather, intermittent internet and here in the UK, the schools are on a week’s break, so I’ve had a house full of miniature humans. I’ve got to Friday and my head just feels like a bucket full of bleurgh.
I’ve finished cursing modern technology for now, so it’s time to have a quick look at what I found over the past seven days….on a really tiny screen.
I’m sure all my gadgets and gizmos are conspiring against me. Maybe my domestic appliances were jealous, felt a little left out and wanted a challenge of their own, so they prayed to the White Goods God to put an end to my beloved tablet and desktop.
Author Linda Grant has written a piece in The Guardian today that’s got me thinking. She’s moving and has to take a lifetime’s worth of books, that have filled every nook and cranny of her current home, and reduce them down to a manageable amount ready to move to her new home. It doesn’t end well.
